In 1839, hundreds of rebels are still in jail months after the British army put down the Patriots' rebellion. On February 14, Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier and Charles Hindelang find out that they and three other friends will be hanged in 24 hours. While they wait for their time to die, the condemned spend time with friends and family and talk to them about their last wishes.
