A humble tax collector, ning Tsai-Shen, arrives to carry out his work. Nobody is willing to provide him shelter at nighttime, so he eventually ultimately ends up at the Lan Ro temple. There, he meets Taoist Swordsman Yen Che-Hsia, and also the Nieh Hsiao-Tsing.
