In a far-flung California home, the demonic spirit that has been dormant in Amityville for the better part of three centuries has escaped. There is an impoverished and unsure family living together in a cramped quarters. The beast disguises itself as the girl's deceased father in order to control her. Can a young priest vanquish the demon and break the curse before it has a chance to entirely take over?
