Pancho Villa asks studios to film his actual fights against Porfrio Diaz's army in 1914 to collect funding for guns and ammunition. The Mutual Film Corporation, through producer D.W. Griffith, supports the idea and sends filmmaker Frank Thayer to Pancho Villa to arrange a contract.
