Morris Buttermaker is really a burnedout little league baseball player that loves to drink and can't keep his hands to himself. His long suffering lawyer arranges for him to handle a Little League team, and Buttermaker soon finds himself the mind of a rag-tag group of players. Through unconventional exercises along with his coaching style that is off beat, Buttermaker helps his hapless Bears prepare to fulfill their rivals, the Yankees.
