Three IJN pilots, Mikami (Susumu Fujita), Kawakami (Masayuki Mori), and Murakami (Akitake Kono), are pals and renowned for their torpedo skills. As a staff officer, Mikami is stationed on a Pacific island. As the base squadron is strengthened, Kawakami and Murakami join him. Enemy task force reaches island and attacks fleet, killing all three.
