Rocky and Dan are patrol car officers on night shift. Dan is a cynic who considers all lawbreakers as filth, whereas Rocky is more forgiving. Both are attracted to the radio voice of communicator Kate Mallory; nevertheless, in person, Kate is hesitant to get connected with men who could potentially stop a bullet. Rocky and Dan accidentally cause a great deal of trouble for the deadly racketeer Ritchie Garris; but, when he swears vengeance, Kate's suspicions may be validated.
