This is a gripping period play about disgrace, conscience, and the difficulty of justice. Won-kyu, an imperial investigator, lands on the lovely island of Donghwa in 1808 to investigate a string of gruesome murders. The rural populace believes that a ghost is seeking vengeance for a seven-year-old unlawful execution. Inquisitor Won-kyu, on the other hand, believes the crimes have a more logical explanation.
