Hank Marshall is science expert and a demanding, square-jawed, strait-laced Army engineer, assigned to help run weapons-testing in 1950's America. Hank has become a thorn in the face of this Armyfor a couple of reasons. He is a vocal opponent of testing, though his superiors hold contrary views and want to squelch his concerns. . .and his reports. The other problem is his spouse, Carly. She is voluptuous and volatile, stirring intrigue at each brand new Army base up and wreaking chaos within his life.
