A talent manager called helping a client, Danny Rose dragged into a love triangle between the mob. His narrative is told in flash back, an anecdote shared at the Carnegie Deli of New York. Rose's one-piece gift service represents innumerable incompetent entertainers, such as a snobby tap dancer, and also one slightly talented one: washed up sofa singer Lou Canova (Nick Apollo Forte), whose livelihood is on the muster.
