At a private country club, an ambitious young caddy, Danny Noonanpursues a caddy scholarship in hopes of attending college and, in turn, avoiding a job at the lumber yard. In order to be successful, he must first win the favour of this elitist Judge Smails, and the caddy golf tournament that Smails sponsors.
