Charlie, a forty-something job seeker, meets Ghislaine and Josiane, two twentysomethings who are also out of work. All three of them resolve to make a living by traveling and selling oilcloth. When Tony, a miniature churches vendor, arrives, the group's equilibrium is shattered.
