A young man becomes utterly captivated with the game while an international chess tournament is in place. His fiancée is uninterested in it and grows irritated and upset as a result of his disregard of her, but she discovers that she cannot escape chess wherever she goes. On the verge of quitting up, she crosses paths with the world champion, Capablanca, with unexpected outcomes.
