A young Finnish woman takes a train to the northern port of Murmansk to flee a mysterious love affair in Moscow. The inhabitants of Compartment No. 6 are forced to confront important facts about human connection as they are forced to share the exhausting journey and a cramped sleeping vehicle with a large-framed Russian miner.
