After a rising young attorney successfully defends a guy accused of murder, another murder occurs. While the attorney is clear that his client is the murderer, he decides to represent him again, much to his friends' dismay. The killer and the attorney play a game of cat and mouse throughout the rest of the film, until they both realize they are not that different.
