A busy executive (Ted Danson) learns during a meeting that his mum could possibly be perishing and rushes home to her side. He ultimately ends up being his dad's care taker and becomes closer to him (Jack Lemmon) than in the past. Estranged from his own son (Ethan Hawke), the executive comes to appreciate that which has been missing within his own life.
