Paratroopers Captain'Rip' Murdock and Sergeant Johnny Drake are Arranged to travel to Washington, DC. He disappears before paper photographers can take his picture when Drake learns he is to be awarded the Medal of humor. By which he learns Drake is dead, murdock follows the clues along with tracks him down. Twists that are unexpected are revealed by further investigations. Rip discovers that Johnny had been accused of murder and sets out to learn anything they can. He falls.
