Mike Harper (Rod Taylor), an American, and his wife, Janet, move to England when Mike is sent there on business (Doris Day). But she soon thinks that Mike is still seeing Claire, his attractive new assistant (Leon Askin). Mike has also been spending a lot of time with his friends who are also British bachelors. Claire hires Paul (Sergio Fantoni), a charming antiques expert, to decorate the Harper home and maybe make Mike jealous in the process.
