Lydia Campbell and her daughter Elle have recently migrated from Los Angeles to Florida for unknown reasons. Elle is a senior at Bellview High, where Lydia has assumed the role of assistant principal. Both newcomers desire a better life and are willing to do anything to attain it. With Lydia by her side, Elle stops at nothing to earn popularity and become homecoming queen as prom season approaches.
