Ella lives in a magical universe in which each child, at this time of their arrival, is given a virtuous"gift" from a fairy godmother. Ella talent , however, is obedience. This birthright demonstrates itself to be quite the curse once Ella finds himself in the control of several characters whom she quite literally cannot disobey. Determined to gain control of her life and conclusions, Ella sets off on a journey. The path isn't easy -- Ella must outwit a ton of unpleasant obstacles including elves, giants, wicked stepsisters, ogres along with Prince Charmont's evil uncle, who would like to dominate the crown and rule the realm.
