Before his country was in the warfare, an American flyer who joined the RAF is recovering from a leg injury from Jerusalem. Throughout a British friend he matches a Jewish girl whose family originally came from Spain. Both are attracted to one another but she's convinced their diverse backgrounds mean it may not work.
