Matsu, known to the prisoners as Scorpion, is imprisoned in the bowels of the prison as retaliation for disrupting the prison's smooth operation and for her disfiguring attack on the warden. She takes advantage of a one-day reprieve granted by a dignitary's visit and attacks the warden once more. This leads to harsher punishment and humiliation. However, the punishment allows her and six other female prisoners to escape. The convicts' bizarre escape from prison pits them against the guards, the warden, and each other.
