Workaholic Thomas Johnson comes back to life for a dog and dies in an auto accident. Remembering a number of who he was, he returns to his wife and son to safeguard them from the guy who brought his accident. But, as time goes by, he recalls more of his lifetime, also understands he wasn't such a good husband and daddy.
