Financial institution burglar Graham Dorsey spends a couple of hours with beautiful widow Amanda Starbuck, in which time his gang takes part in a disastrous setback. Learning of his associates' death, Dorsey goes on the lam. Believing her short-term enthusiast was killed by the legislation, Amanda chooses to make the most of having had an intermediary with the allegedly dead desperado by writing a publication about him. Much to his complication, the still-living Dorsey watches as his name ends up being epic.
