An older couple go about their routine of cleaning their gabbeh (a intricately-designed carpet ), while invisibly softly with eachother. Magically, a young woman looks, helping both blank the carpet. This younger woman belongs to the clan whose history is depicted in the plan of the gabbeh, and also the carpet recounts the narrative of the courtship of the younger woman by a stranger from the clan.
