After a card video game Southerner Owen Pentecost discovers himself the owner of a Denver hotel. Entailed with two ladies - one that came with the hotel, and one freshly shown up from the East to open up a boutique - he then has to make more essential options when, with the beginning of the Civil Battle, he becomes one of a little minority in a strongly Unionist town.
