Like a lot of Godfrey Ho's other ninja films (like my favorite, Bionic Ninja), Hands of Death does not disappoint the lover of Bad 1980s Ninja Movies. The so-called Purple Ninjas are actually putting on costumes (with horrendous sharp triangular shoulders) that are fairly pink. We have come up with a concept that they cleaned their white costumes with their red "Ninja" headbands and this was the result. Lots of Caucasian personalities, confusing plot lines, as well as garbled motives focused around an important gold mine make this really comparable to other Ho movies, yet the major Pink Ninja bad guy is marvelously over-the-top, with a glazed look in his over-wide blue eyes and also a bad blonde haircut and also moustache.
