Rachel is actually a food writer at a New York magazine who meets with Washington columnist Mark at a marriage and ends up falling in love with him despite her reservations about union. They purchase a home, have a daughter, and Rachel believes they are currently living happily ever after until she finds that Mark is having an affair while she is waddling around with a pregnancy.
