Chappy Sinclair is called to gather together a mixed Soviet/U. S. strike force that will conduct a surgical strike on a richly defended nuclear missile site in the middleeast. Chappy finds that becoming the Soviet and U.S. Pilots to collaborate is the most minor of his problems as he discovers somebody from the Pentagon is intentionally endangering his assignment.
