Charlie Lang is a New York City cop that is kindhearted. If he realizes he has no money to trick waitress Yvonne Biasi, Lang offers her half the lottery ticket's winnings. The ticket happens for a winner, at the sum of 4 million. Lang proceeds to share the prize money with Biasi, which infuriates his greedy wife. Not satisfied with the deal, Muriel begins scheming to carry all the cash.
