As a way to flee from powerful enemies, young Mayan king Balam leads his people halfway across the Gulf of Mexico of what's going to develop into the usa to the shore. They build a home in the new land but encounter conflict led by their chief while both Balam and Black Eagle fall inlove the Mayan princess Ixchel.
