SUMMARY
Mute young woman Persistence, from a separated community in rural England in 1555, fights with her managing brother-in-law and also leader, David, that is progressively unraveling after the failing of his picturesque community. The Egyptian Act has been passed, specifying that all 'gypsies' should abandon England immediately as well as any person found helping them could be performed. In exchange for a charge, David agrees to assist an Egyptian household that must stay a month on their land up until a ship involves take them away. But when Patience goes after an event with among the outsiders, she is thrust into a violent and vicious psychological battle with David.
