Rayford Steele, an airline pilot, considers having an affair with Hattie Durham, a beautiful flight attendant. Several passengers inexplicably vanish on a journey to London, causing mayhem as several vehicles on the ground and in the air become unmanned. Meanwhile, Buck Williams, a TV journalist, is reporting on Dr. Chaim Rosenzweig, an Israeli scientist who has developed a solution that would make any soil easy to farm. In fact, Buck is suspicious of Rosenzweig after learning that the doctor is working with two multi-millionaires to broker the invention for their own objective of global dominance.
