Khaila Richards, a mum, inadvertently leaves her baby in an emergency while high and returns the next day at a panic. In fact, the baby has been adopted by a social worker, Margaret Lewin, and her partner. Khaila keeps a constant job and has experienced rehabilitation. She challenges Margaret for the prosecution, after learning that her kid is still alive.
