Angie Rossini, an innocent New york city City sales staff from a repressive Italian-American family members, engages in a brief affair with a good-looking jazz artist called Rocky Papasano. When Angie becomes pregnant, she tracks down Rocky wishing he'll spend for her abortion. Rocky accepts help, yet after seeing the unhygienic abortion facility, he refuses to let Angie go through with the treatment and tries to make her a straightforward female.
