Matt drops for Casey. She is eccentric and fun-loving, but there is a shadow to her whimsy that Matt can not start to comprehend. When Casey tries to commit suicide, her parents place her at a mental institution. Matt springs out her, and the young lovers head to a roadtrip. They believe their love could"cure" Casey's problems. Matt starts to wonder if they are inspired or misguided.
