Middle aged Mamma Roma has saved enough money to buy herself a fresh fruit stand so that she can have a lifetime and re establish connection after years spent working as a prostitute in her village. But her pimp threatens to expose her past, along with her troubled kid seems destined to collapse into a life of violence and crime.
