Manhattan kids are being killed by A disorder carried by cockroaches. In an effort to block the outbreak an entomologist, Susan Tyler, creates a mutant variety of insect that secretes a fluid to kill the roaches. About three years later Susan finds out that the species has lived and evolved, although this breed has been engineered to expire after a generation.
