Bus driver Stan Butler agrees to wed Arthur, much to the distress of Mum, her soninlaw, Suzy, and daughter Olive. How, they wonder, how will they ever manage without the money of Stan? Subsequently Arthur is sacked, and Stan insists to delay the wedding. He strikes on an idea: Arthur should figure out how to drive a bus. He even gets work, and does just that. The Depot Manager is then blackmailed by stan to giving him the job of driver to the new money-making Special Tours Bus. A great idea. . .if only the inspector had not taken Stan on his own trial
