Bug killer Bill Lee and his wife, Joan, just like to get high on Bill's pest poisons while lounging together with poet pals. After fulfilling the devilish Dr. Benway, Bill understands a medication created from the centipede. He finds that his work has been published by his hip friends and also eventually ends up in a Mediterranean city that is constantly mutating takes orders against his typewriter-turned-cockroach accidentally kills Joan -- which he doesn't remember writing upon indulging.
