In the year 2005, the FBI established a division known as "NetForce" to investigate Internet crime. A character akin to Bill Gates discovers a flaw in his new web browser, allowing him to take control of the Internet. Kristofferson and Bakula's characters lead Net-Force in an attempt to stop him.
