Haunted by his tragic past, Jack LeBlanc, a heavily-scarred introvert, volunteers for a Stage I scientific trial of a remarkable new tissue regrowth medicine, dubbed "Obsidian." Quickly, under the watchful surveillance of reputable pharmacologist, Dr. James Walsh, Jack and also the team of hopeful volunteers begin to experience infernal adverse effects from the medicine and soon discover that the quest for vanity can be fatal.
