In Alaska, Samuel Browne works as a tracker. He travels to San Francisco to track for his sister's killer after she dies in a gruesome manner. As further killings occur, Buckley Clarke, a police investigator, unwillingly joins forces with Sam. The police believe this is a random murderer, but Sam and Buckley detect a pattern involving neonatal critical care nurses. Doctors aren't meant to be gods, but a mistake made years ago has pushed a serial murderer over the edge. Will they be able to locate him?
