Loner Mark Lewis shooting photographs of women works at a film studio during your day and, at night. He's creating a documentary on fear, which involves documenting the reactions of victims because he murders them. He befriends the daughter of the family living below his, Helen, and he informs her about the picture he's currently making. She sneaks into the apartment of Mark and is horrified by what she sees if Mark catches her.
