In August of 1949, Life Magazine ran a banner headline which flew the question:"Jackson Pollock: Is he the greatest living painter in the United States?" The film has a glance back into the life of an extraordinary man, a guy who has been called"an artist devoted to concealment, a star who nobody knew." Since he struggled participating in a between the need to express himself wanting to shut out the world, Pollock began a downhill spiral.
