In this version of the roman à clef for the White House, the young and gifted Henry Burton is tapped to oversee the presidential campaign of Governor Jack Stanton. Burton is hauled to the politician world and looks on as Stanton -- who has a wandering eye which could possibly be his downfall -- claims with his wife, Susan, Richard Jemmons, and an adviser.
