In Haight-Ashbury, Jenny, a deaf runaway, has just arrived to see her long-lost brother, a mysterious bearded sculptor known as The Seeker. She joins Mumblin' Jim, a psychedelic band with Stoney, Ben, and Elwood. They hide her in a Victorian home full of love beads and necking lovers. Dave, Mumblin' Jim's truth-seeking pal, thinks the band's desire of fame is "gaming," but he helps Jennie nonetheless.
