Illusions are tough to mend -- notably for a zebra named Stripes who is spent his lifetime to a Kentucky farm beneath the mistaken notion that he's a debonair thoroughbred. Once he faces the truth that his stripes indicate him as different, he decides he will race anyway. And with help he just might wind up in the winner's ring.
