A TV show set in 1972 in Rockville, Georgia, where people lived. Survivor Assistance Officer Major Kendall Laird comes to this small town with the body of Lieutenant Dwyte Johnson, a Vietnam war hero. Help Johnson's parents bury their son: Laird's job is to do this for them. His parents are turned away by the white racists who look after the town's "all-white" cemetery because the dead hero was black, and they don't want them there.
