While investigating the horrible death of her boy friend, Mai Takano (Miki Nakatani) learns about a videotape haunted by the soul of a troubling woman named Sadako, that kills anyone who watches it exactly 1 week after. When her boyfriend's child, Yoichi, starts to develop the identical psychic abilities Takano must find a way to keep herself and the boy from becoming the upcoming victims.
